Recently, Greg Deason, SVP at Purdue Research Park and I sat down for a conversation with the Association of University Research Parks, AURP, about building entrepreneurial hubs. Greg is the Vice President of Entrepreneurship and Place Making at the Purdue Foundry. The Foundry has been a juggernaut for startup creation with more than 200 startups being created since 2013. We discussed Purdue’s model to move from idea to impact, the role of ideation programs to cultivate entrepreneurs, and the value of inclusiveness of all types of entrepreneurs.
